So tomorrow we have to travel up to Durham for my dads funeral and return on Wednesday. As we didn't want to take Tilly and put her to kennels , we have an old boy who is a good family friend staying at the house , but he never stops taliking . Tilly loves the attention and normally I can sit and have a chat with her for 10 minutes , 20 minutes and she's all ears. I wonder how she will be when she realises some people can actually talk non stop for 24 hours , will she have found her little winter ear muffs and seeked refuge in another room , or will she still be sat with half cocked ears hanging on every word Smile

She does love him to bits though as she does with anyone that pays her attention , and I've noticed she never jumps because he's a little older , it's that dog sixth sense thing, but I'm really not sure at 3am on the bed whether she might just be thinking....... jeeeees girl trying to sleep here Smile

Thats so cute.
I talk constantly to my dog, i'm going to end up a crazy old lady living in a caravan covered in slobber and dog hair.

So back home this afternoon , obviously Tilly has a new confidante and that was our first time ever to leave Tilly with someone that wasn't family , though our friend is round most days and Tilly loves him to bits. Was great to see Tilly hanging on his every word Smile
@ Lynn , thanks for the kind words

All went perfectly in the end , though it was a difficult last 20 years to say the least since we lost our mam, we did my father proud and didn't end up fighting with his new friends so all in all a big success, and we have that bit more confidence in leaving Tilly. The old boy is always in and out so it gets her that little bit more used to things, I think we are going to try the kennels for a couple of days next time and if she's ok we will look at booking our summer holidays abroad, if she's not then we go to plan Z and its Isle of Wight here we come Smile
