Hi I just wanted to ask when should you move up to adult food? Bella is now 9 months, is this too early?

The recommended age is usually on the kibble.

Same as Max, tho only really about 70% of the time now, in favour rice the rest of the time (with additional protein ... fish, meat, oil, fats etc)

I tried to keep him on "puppy" as long as poss as it is slightly more protein rich if I remember correctly thinking .. but if you want to move up to junior or adult, just get a bag and start mixing in a handfull with the current grub and see how she goes Wink

I have the same issue, Sasha is almost 9 months and seems to be reluctant at times to eat her food and Im wondering if its because the pieces are very small ?
She is on Bakers Puppy and my other dog is on Bakers Adult so it would be better if I could just buy the one large bag of Adult food.
Is there much of a difference between the too types of food ?
Sasha sometimes has some olive oil drizzled on her food and I sometimes mix Tuna with it. Will she loose out if I change her to adult ?

Not sure how good/bad Bakers is TBH, but if you are adding your own protien at least weekly I wouldnt think it'll make much differance especially if it looks like she prefers the larger kibbles .. Max did Big Grin

If you can, please change your dog's food. Bakers is one of, if not the worst brand of dog food. It has almost no nutritional value and is all additives and filler. I know alot of people use it because it is not expensive, but you get what you pay for, and Bakers really is rubbish for your dog.

You can move a dog over to junior/adult food from about 6-8 months I think.
