CCTV man

My boss is having another CCTV camera fitted so he can keep an eye on the bike racks he's just put against the side wall of the Church. This wall runs along the outside of my office, so the camera guys had to come in today & drill a hole through the wall.

My boss brought them over to introduce to me & I told them that if they let me know when they wanted to come in to drill, I'd take Dempsey out into the church cause he wouldn't like it.

The main guy said to me "Oh, that's ok, dear (dear? ), I'm used to dogs, he won't worry me. What breed is he?"

I said "He's a Bull Terrier - he's under the desk right now".

The look on the guy's face was a picture. He looked under the desk, quickly stood up & backed towards the door, "I'll let you know when we need to come in, then!" he said!

makes me laugh. dempsey was there and he didnt even know but th eminute he saw he backs off. whats up did he get yawned at funny

He wasn't even awake! He was lying in his (open) crate, on his back with his legs in the air, snoring!

Hmmm. Actually, he's also there for my safety. I have to count the money from the candle & book/pamphlet boxes, and it can come to anything up to about £300. The church door is always open & my office opens onto the church. I won't lock the door because the office is a lifeline to some people who come for a chat when they're lonely or a shoulder to cry on when they are berieved, so Dempsey's there as a deterrant. He has actually chased a thug out in the past. Most people who come in are fine with him, and he with them, but I do tell them not to touch him when he's asleep in his crate, despite the fact that he looks all innocent.

Having said that, when children/disabled/elderly come in he's gentle & sweet.
