Skye was asleep and was dreaming away, she woke up because my step dad was walking about .. My step dad then come over to her and put his face right up to her clearly annoying her she had just woke up! .. He put his nose to her nose and she started low growling so i said oi and said to my s.d your annoying her shes warning you .. She moved her head n He carried on an she went for him.
Now is that just me or is she telling him his annoying her!! Am i right in saying he bought that on himself!? She has never done this before because i for one would never get in a dogs face!
Shes in the kitchen after been told off because clearly the behaviour was bad eiter way
What do you think?

Although I always say that I won't have a dog of mine growl at me, there are times when it's understandable. A growl is a dog's only way of saying "I don't like that".
She clearly wasn't happy, and he shouldn't have carried on. Most dogs are very unhappy being stared at, especially at such close quarters. Even though I agree that she had to be told off, your s.d. should have moved away as soon as she showed displeasure.

No Skyes behaviour is totally unexceptable and needs reprimanding, but, why make the situation in the first place.

Re: :@
Why don't people listen when they have had a warning from both you and the dog. Millie has done that to my daughter, they were playing rough but Millie started to get annoyed and my daughter, who's 19 but was acting about 2 didn't listen. Millie jumped at her, paws on her chest and snapped a couple of inches from her face and she is normally a dog who will put up with a lot. It's horrible having to give them into trouble for something that could have been avoided people would just listen, makes me mad.
