Australia Day Empty Australia Day

Post by Guest Tue Jan 24 2012, 09:22

Okay, so for everyone that isn't an Aussie, it's Australia Day on Thursday 26th January! Soooo I came across this little number that probably only the Australian's will understand Tongues It's cute and annoying!!! My husband is so happy as this is his 2nd Australia Day as an Australian citizen Big Grin He's getting the BBQ ready and getting his beer and will probably spend the day watching Crocodile Dundee and other Australian movies! I, unfortunately, have to work... but he is going to get his free sausage sandwich at the local Australia Day sausage sizzle LOL. What is everyone else up to?

It is when the First Fleet arrived in Australia in 1788. I guess England have St George's Day and America has Independence Day etc... Public Holiday Big Grin

Right... so my husband cooked a massive lamb on the webber with a vegemite marinade (which was yummy), potato salad and green sale... and beer! I was correct, Crocodile Dundee is currently on the television screen. My husband LOVES it.

so shattered I missed Australia day, every year we have a big party any where with water and a radio and we fly the flag and are not racist!
Just a great day for a BBQ, drinks and counting down the hottest 100 songs on triple J.
first one I've missed in like 8 years because I was on the plane flying home. got in at 11pm Australia day so still got a 'happy australia day' from the customs officer hehe
