Tupperware Party
Tomorrow I am having a Tupperware party. I love Tupperware. I have invested thousands in it and my pantry and fridge/freezer has been decked out in it. I have even purchased some retro stuff from eBay... that's 30+ years old and still look amazing (except that it is burnt orange, puke green, brown and mustard hello... ahhh the 70's ) I think I may have a few people coming, which is nice... but I have t make all the finger food! I have let myself in for something big On the plus side, the Tupperware man (Yup, a bloke) is making everyone sangria!!! YAY! My mum is going to give me a hand in the afternoon! I will try and take some pictures!

Sweet ! Sounds like a good night planned I think most people take it for granted but if you stop and look how much you rely on it most people would be surprised, good luck

Re: Tupperware Party
This is where all the Tupperware is store... it's quite empty here... usually you open the door and it floods out!
My pantry... they no longer make my lid colour, so I get them off eBay now... a bit cheeky... but a girl's gotta do...
This is the fridge/freezer. The ones with the blue lids keep everything fresh soooo well! Even celery lasts days without going all limp!
So... now everyone can see my obsession and also how ocd I actually am

Alicia, I wish my fridge was that organized.
All of em in my kitchen. The freezer is a death trap. Open it and frozen things falling right on your toes. I think the OH is trying to torture me with the refrigerator. I have to remove a thousand bottles of salad dressing to find anything.

Re: Tupperware Party
I love the stuff! The only downside is I have SOOOOOOO much to cram into one day! I am going into the hairdresser first thing to have it coloured, the off shopping for the food and alcohol and other bits and pieces. My brother, his partner and my 5 year old niece are coming to visit for a couple of hours because she wants to see Vlad (they have a staffy cross blue heeler called Happi). So tonight (it's after 11pm here) I am cleaning and folding washing. I cleaned bathrooms and am up to doing all the folding and dusting and polishing. I am trying to do as much as I can now to 1) save time tomorrow and 2) The husband is still on night shifts so don't want to disturb him too much!

Re: Tupperware Party
Good heavens I honestly have not had proper Tupperware since when my kids were little. Then we did the whole party thing quite often. Had loads in those burnt orange, puke green, brown and mustard colours you talk about. Seems I would have made a killing on eBay had I kept the stuff.

Honestly, if we ever go broke, I could sell it on eBay and make money! I love the retro stuff. My next thing to purchase off eBay is the pastry mat they had years ago. I remember mum had one when I was little, but she said that went missing a long time ago. She still has containers from the 70's. I love it.

Re: Tupperware Party
I had one of those mats. I think it came with a rolling pin that you filled with ice. The most favourite thing for me was a shaker with a gizmo inside in which you could shake up anything from eggs for scambling, pancake batter to whipped cream. Was damn useful.

Re: Tupperware Party
If I had a pantry everything would be in Tupperware boxes, sadly just don't have the room

My mom use to be a seller so I have so much...I love it. Just so hard to find it anymore. I wish I was closer I would be your biggest buyer.

Re: Tupperware Party
Hey, it went well! Tupperware man said he'd never been to house with so much of it LOL. I ended up with a fair bit of free stuff and I also had just over $100 to spend. He said they still make the pastry mat but the writing on it is in yellow (makes no difference to me ). Yes, you are correct Lynn, they did have a rolling pin you fill with ice, mum was talking about it too tonight! My mum used to sell it too a few years back just as a hobby (she's a teacher) so she has some of the little things still. The sangria was really yummy! I made too much food!!! All in all a good night! Heather: Let me know if you ever visit Australia, I will book a party just for you... but in the mean time, try eBay... I got some of my containers from there due to them discontinuing my lid colour AND, they have some AWESOME retro ones
