Doggy Back Pack
I just bought a back pack for Henry that arrived today. I thought it would be a great idea to get him to carry some of his own stuff, especially when hiking, as well as to give him a job to do and help burn off some of that crazy energy! I havnt walked him in it yet but he didnt seem to even notice it when I put it on him for the first time

Re: Doggy Back Pack
How old is he? Backpacking is great for them but if you are going to use anything other than some keys and a bit of toys or water be sure to build up slowly and wait for him to be 18-24 months old.
We have something similar but are waiting for Suki to get a bit older and more fully devolped.

Re: Doggy Back Pack
Henry makes an awesome model!!
I bought one off ebay for Winston down the track..but it is a pretty crappy one compared to the look of yours!
Will be interested how Henry goes..we love going up in the bush (not so much now, but when the weather is cooler!! ) and would love to think Winston could carry his water bottle and bowl..

Henry is just about at 20months now, I don't think I'll put my keys in it though lol I have visions of Henry running off in distance with them! I'll build him up slowly, but realistically wont use it for anything much for a couple of months as we are in the height of summer and poor Henry is feeling the heat.
I got this off trademe, which is New Zealand's version of Ebay. Brand new and it only cost me $20, much better than $80 from the pet shop!! I think I'm going to have to get one for Bull too....

Re: Doggy Back Pack
Back packs are great. we have 3 peaks ones for our boys we put them on them for our 3 hour walk the other day, does them good and saves us carrying stuff.
very similar too this but its by 3 peaks ours.
