when Winston first goes in the water he is like a man ( dog ) possessed so we put the jacket on him for the first half hour or so..then later on we always let him go in without it on...but when he isn't wearing it we watch him like a hawk..he really tries and swims around okay but it is only his head sticking out! Laughing But everytime he is getting slowly better... I don't know if he will ever be as good a swimmer as Jethro is..but he sure as hell gets enough practise!!
