A day in the life of Tinkerbell....
Hey there, Tinker here.
Mam spends too much time on here so I decided I'd have a shot and tell you about my day!
So my day began when everyone arrived downstairs for breakfast! I really wanted a lie in, so I wasn't impressed when mam booted me up the backside to go out in the garden. How would she feel if I chucked her out for a wee in the garden?! I would much rather use the toilet in the warm bathroom. I have been trying for a few days now, not quite sure how to do it but getting there. Mam doesn't like the muddy paw prints left on the toilet seat, but at least it gives her something to moan about!
I got left behind this morning while she took the two mini people to the doctors. I did have a quick word with them before she left. Told them seeing as I can't test her patience they had to take on the role.....judging by her face when she returned they did me proud!
I got to go for my walk on their return, the mini people weren't too impressed to be dragged out again, but I certainly was. I had a great time, found every muddy puddle and walked straight through it. Met a policewoman too who loved me, my tail has never wagged so hard. It is hard work looking this cute but it is worth it when people greet me Mam say's I shouldn't jump but how else am I supposed to reach up to be smoothed?! She just doesn't get it, humans never do!
When we came back from my walk it was playtime. Mam thinks playtime should have been on the walk but I was too busy finding the mud to play then, so had to wait until we got home. She told Dad to keep the mini people in the living room because she was going to bath Stinkerbell....not quite sure who Stinkerbell is, she sounds nice though, but the name is a bit too alike so I may get confused if she came to live here.
Mam decided to clean my bed for me whilst I was sitting there. She asked me to get out so I did a quick lap of the kitchen then bombed straight back into my crate. She asked me again a second later to get out, I must have run too fast last time for her to see I did in fact get out. So off I went again. Next time she asked me she kneeled in front of the crate to take the covers off my bed. Her back was so appealing, I legged it round the kitchen then dived on her back before going again. She didn't appreciate me using her as a springboard, couldn't see the funny side of it. I think she needs to lighten up a bit, because from where I was standing it was a great game Must try it again someday. She shut me out in the hallway after this, so she could clean my bed in peace. I offered to help her but she refused my help, not entirely sure why
Mam went to run the bath with my help, she couldn't have done it without me getting under her feet afterall I was quite suprised though when she picked me up and put me in, I thought she had said Stinkerbell was having a bath....she must be going mad like I suspected. Seeing as she decided to bath me instead I decided to make the most of it. I have to say, I don't think much of her bathroom wall, looks nicer with artexing and a splash of colour.....I helped her with that. Shook my whole body all over it, I'm quite pleased with the results. Lovely mud splashes on each wall, did a better job than I anticipated too, managed to get the toilet and sink covered aswell....great stuff Mam told me to get out the bath, I don't think she expected me to jump so far though. I thought she said go and get dry so off I ran doing circuits around the kitchen, hadn't realised she meant stand still so she could dry me. She bought out a fab toy though, silly thing is she tried to dry me with it. I thought it was much better used for a game of tug I wonder why she didn't appreciate that though, she told me off. I did listen to her though......eventually.
She then sent me to my crate to dry off, I loved the new bedding. She hadn't arranged it like I wanted it though....so I did rearrnage it slightly. The pillow was too hard, though I soon sorted that out by removing the stuffing.
Mr. chicken was waiting for me in bed. We had an argument though so I soon sorted him out. He won't be nagging me anymore now he has no head
I have been so good today, I fell asleep after my morning's antics. Slept for a whole half hour until mam came in with Henry the hoover. He just gets me every time, doesn't shut up so I chased him round the kitchen to tell him off. Mam thought I was being very silly, if only she could hear what he says to me, she too would be chasing him around the kitchen then. I'm exhausted now though, so best I get to bed. Mam told Dad she's going to take me for a long walk later to burn some energy off. She says we are going to walk down to town and to the marina to see the boats.....I must behave so well again, I love seeing the boats. Think she may be the only one who gets tired this evening though. She didn't like my decorations in the bathroom, so she cleaned them all away. Ah well there's always tomorrow to do some more

Wow that's great you should write a book, The Amazing Adventures of Tinkerbell, pretty sure it would sell.
I think the bathroom will probably recover from being Tinkered with.
Well there's all of tomorrow yet too, wonder what you will be up to then?

But remember, they are male, which means brainpower diminishes when in groups.

Didn't go as far as the boats tonight, too dark and cold. Plus not the nicest area to be walking late at night so we went for a shorter 40 minute walk instead. Still not tired though, she is in her crate bouncing around after a ball which I have just found in the fish cupboard whilst looking for a fish net!

OMG.....what a BRILLIANT post.
Tink, you should look at a career in journalism, or childrens story books.
You had me smiling the whole way through.
Very entertaining indeed, and it sounds like you had a very intersting day. Sometimes us Mums just don't understand do we
I look forward to your next installment Tink, just wait for Mum to leave the laptop unattended again

Re: A day in the life of Tinkerbell....
Shhhh don't tell mam, but it's Tink here again!
Thanks for all your comments, seeing as you liked them so much I thought I'd sneak back on here again to tell you about my day today!
Mam and dad took the mini people up to the market this morning. They say I can't come because I am a dog, not sure what that means though. I thought I was one of them
Ah well, they came home with two presents, a squeaky burger and a new mr.chicken. I think this one may have been female though, she just wouldn't shut up! She only lasted 20 minutes though. I just got sick of her moaning on and on about her bum looking big. I mean come on, I don't want to hear it. She mentioned the diet word. I have no idea what that means, although I have heard mam say I need to go on one! It doesn't sound like fun though! I got so excited when I saw a huge burger coming in, really thought it was my lucky day. It wasn't that tasty though must have been cooked a while ago, the burger is all rubbery and chewy. Yuk, so once I desqueaked it I've thrown it out my crate!
They came home with new food for me last night. I have been on a hunger strike recently. They feed me this dry brown stuff but yet they eat food that smells so good. I do try my hardest each night to make mam drop the plates when she brings them in from the table....never works though, she is too clever for her own good! Doesn't she realise that if she drops them for me, I'll help her clean them...there wouldn't be any need for her to wash up then.
Anyway the food she got was some mr. wellbeloved. He is one good chef, it didn't look too nice but the smell soon won me over. How can I resist the smell of lamb, mmmm!
I was ever so good today so mam told dad she was going to take me to the fields and let me off. She made me walk up the banks first to burn energy off. I pretended I was tired so she stuck to her plan. We didn't take the mini boy though, he's too much like hardwork....he walks ever so slow and I hate waiting for him. The mini girl came though, she is alright I suppose. At least she can throw a ball for me, mini boy runs away with them for himself.
When we got to the field mam let me off and then threw my tug toy for me. I just love that toy I couldn't believe I was off the lead, had to run around a few times just to make sure the lead didn't pull me back. It was a good job that I shut mr.chicken up earlier because mam insisted on bringing chicken with us. I thought this meant mam was attached to her, but she threw her away I bought her back for her though. She just kept throwing her away, maybe they had an argument earlier too.
Mam even went so far as to throw it over the fence. I was absolutely thrilled with this, meant I wouldn't have to sort her out when we returned home. Mam called me back to her, so I went to see what she wanted. She gave me lots of fuss for coming back to her, maybe I should do that more often! Mam put my lead on me, which I hated. I wasn't done playing yet, so thought I'd grab the toy out of her hand to have one last go. She told me off, and made me walk nicely! We only went out the field to pick chicken up though so looks like I have got a job to do tonight after all. I'll try and make it as quick and painless as I can though!
Mam insisted on taking pictures of me, so I did sit and smile nicely for one of them.....have no idea why she wanted more though! Isn't one enough?! I mean come on, I have some serious playing to do before she takes me home. Mam and mini girl threw my toys for me so many times. I have never been so happy, think my cheeks are going to ache tonight from smiling so much!
We were out for ages in the field. When we got home dad said he had been watching us from the window. Good job I was on my best behaviour then. We met two more dogs when we went out to get chicken...he spoke to mam. Didn't hear most of it because I was too busy playing with my friend. But I did hear him say that staffs are great with children and said I was beautiful. Doesn't he know I already know this?! I am gorgeous of course Mam seemed happy with this though so I'm happy
Mam thinks I am tired since getting home because I am pretending to sleep in my crate, little does she know I am on here talking to you lot!
I heard her tell Dad how good I was, he say's he knows because he was watching me. It's good I pretended to be so good though, mam say's she will let me off again in the field soon. Little does she know next time won't be quite as fun for her.
Did tell you yesterday that I would find another opportunity to use mam as a springboard. Managed to bound straight at her when we were in the field. Think she was a bit shocked really to have me bound towards her....well if you will be so stupid as to hold my toy you got to expect it mam!
Anyway I better go, if I pretend to sleep much longer mam will think I am too tired for another outing tonight! Plus I got some work to do. Mam removed all the wicker from the side of the towel rack, so I found a new one to chew. She has this plastic washing basket that's so old the bits are beginning to break on the sides. Now that is great fun to chew, she doesn't know I do it yet, so I have some chewing time before she realises and removes it from my reach!
Speak to you all soon, mam's about to take the dishes through from tea. Time for me to wake up and get under her feet again!

Re: A day in the life of Tinkerbell....
Hello Tinker here again, shhh don’t tell mam! Mam has been really busy recently with stuff she calls Uni work, I don’t know what that is really. But she seems to have her head stuck in an awful lot of books, last couple of weeks have been bad here, she is so moody at the moment, keeps moaning about exams and essays....I don’t think I have ever had an exam, but it doesn’t sound tasty whatever it is. Still she has been in a better mood today even took me on a long walk this morning without rushing back to her book things. I wasn’t too keen to go mind you, dad bought me a big new pillow for my bed yesterday so I’ve been there a lot recently....it’s soooo comfy. Mam and dad say I am not allowed to chew this one though, keep stopping me when I go and bite the zip off, spoilsports. Still mam is busy this week with uni again so I’ll have plenty of time to chew it while the little humans are in school and dad is in bed catching up on sleep. He’s being really silly at the moment, keeps getting up in the middle of the night to go to work, no wonder he sleeps a lot.....you wouldn’t catch me doing that the night is meant for snoring away!
Mam took me out this morning to a new park she found.....I love it!! Wasn’t keen on the walk there though mind, it was raining this morning but it was pretty odd as the rain drops were all white and much colder than normal. Didn’t stop me in the park though, there was a load of muddy grass to run through. I have never had so much fun, I love these new humans ....the last lot never took me to places like this before. Mam left me in the garden when we got home though, I told her off though....she say’s it was because I was dirty and wasn’t allowed in the house....she wasn’t much better mind but she got to go inside! She let me in a few minutes later but wouldn’t let me go straight to my bed to bomb about and get rid of the last bit of energy I had like normal. She took me to the bathroom and put me in the bath....nasty mam, why would she spoil a good morning by doing that?! Still at least it was warm, plus I had my own back too, covered her in more mud and washed the bathroom for her! Dad came in to see what all the noise was and mentioned Stinkerbell again....I really need to meet her, I love her name! Mam dried me with one of those big white fluffy things again, not sure why she bothered mind, I could have done a better job by shaking. I did try and show her a few times, she didn’t seem impressed though for some reason.
As soon as she was done I ran straight for dad, he didn’t hear me coming....I think I gave him quite a fright. I think he said something about showing him how fast I could run, so I did a few laps of the kitchen to show him! Mam went out without me after this, I don’t understand why she didn’t take me again though. Maybe she needed to burn off her last bit of energy too. She came home with the little humans though, I love it when they come home. Have to put on my cute baby face for them, works every time, they come and fuss me straight away! Mam and dad took the little humans out soon after so that I could catch up on sleep. It worked because when they came home I was ready for another walk. Mam took me out again, that white stuff was still falling from the sky....I wonder if there is a dog like me up there chewing their bed to bits and pulling that white stuff out?! We didn’t go for as long as this morning, not that I minded...I was pretty cold and tired this time. Mam let me on the long line so I could run around in the grass. A big man human saw me walking nicely with mam after the grass and came over to say hello to me...he was great! I did try to reach his face to kiss him but couldn’t quite manage it. Still he made a big fuss of me and told me I was adorable....not sure what that means but it sounded good!! I couldn’t wait to get back home though, that dog was really tearing into that bed in the sky!
Anyway better go, mam’s coming. Speak soon!

Re: A day in the life of Tinkerbell....
Thanks for that Tinkerbell. We haven't had any of the white fluffy stuff falling out of the sky here yet, but we may get some tomorrow. It is really cold here too.
Can't wait for your next installment, take care, big hugs from Rocky and his hoomans (Kathy & Andy)

Re: A day in the life of Tinkerbell....
hi tinkerbell
i have to say. there is no white stuff here yet just yucky wet stuff that mum wont let me drink..when its on the ground it looks a bit like that runny stuff called water mum fills my bowl up from those shiny long things in the kitchen..i woudl ike to meet the big dog that pulls his pillow apart in the big blue thing full of white blobs.. that dog sounds like fun.
anyway i need to sleep now cos mums just sorted out my bed after giving me a again.. i love it when she does that.. means she wont make loads of noise like my last lot of humans did and hurt my lug holes.. take care tinkerbell

Re: A day in the life of Tinkerbell....
Hi Tinkerbell, we have just had our first flurry of the white stuff this morning. Not much of it such a sprinkle really.
This happened when Mum & Dad took out for my morning walk. It is quite cold and misty here today.
I couldn't wait to get back home and snuggle up with Dad for a cuddle on the bed.

Re: A day in the life of Tinkerbell....
hi Tink, Herman here. I hate that soft fuzzy stuff the humans kept trying to put over my bed! My bed was fine just as it was, but the humans are not that bright. had to keep tearing whatever that stuff was off my bed. the humans finally got the message though. they leave my bed the way i like it now. took'em long enough! oh well, they give me lots of fun stuff to destroy and they make quite a fuss over me whenever they get the chance and they are comfy to lay on when i want to rest. the humans are o.k, just need a little training.

Tinks, it is soo good to hear from you again. Tell your mam not to work so hard and to take a time out. She needs it. Keep your posts coming.
