Finally the stay command worked when I got home
Normally Suki gets way to excitied when I get home from work. Today I greeted her and gave her some attention and then told her to stay while I changed clothes to be more comfortable. She let out cries of protest but still remained in one spot. Of course she was given a treat and cuddels afterwards but it is great progress.

Normally she is out of control when I come home. I think she may be past the teenage phase of life

We'll see if it lasts but it's nice to be able to change clothes before being pounced on

Haha !! I have exactly the same problem. For my job mostly when I have to go out to work it's shirt and trousers and I don't want them being wrecked by Tilly going mad when I get home so although she is absolutely bursting at the seams for some proper staffy love I can tell her no and its just licks and tail wags, I go upstairs to get changed and she jumps on the bed and lays leopard style with her little tail going as she watches me get undressed and as soon as my jeans go on she knows she gets a biscuit for being patient and then its a mad free for all with some proper staffy love. She also can tell if I've had a dirty day where on occasions I go to customer sites to measure up etc and come home in my jeans and t shirt then it is permissible for her to pounce as soon as I come through the door. BTW sge doesn't always do sit, lie , roll over or play dead but can't have everything

thats why i like this site.
Its good to know we are not alone with our dogs quirks.
Pickle Used to go crazy when he heard my lady coming home.... he would start yowling and running around then when she tried to get in the door he would go crazy jumping up on her and even nipping her... it was like he was so upset that she went some where without him..... i ended up leashing him before she came in the door untill he had calmed down... that seemed to work as he is so much calmer now when she comes home.
Now if i can only get the 2 boys to not act like total heathens when i go out somewhere.... they behave for me but seem to blame her when i go somewhere........ they act up and mostly dont listen to her...... ive been trying to teach my lady to solidify her position in our little pack but not having much luck as it is hard to teach when im not there.
according to Telc the order goes.....
Sarge...Telc...Pickle....Sandrina
according to Pickle it goes
Sarge...Pickle...Telc....Sandrina
Pickle is still young and hypo.... telc is normally so calm and layed back but will sulk if i leave him at home.... Pickle takes it personal and takes it out on Sandrina....crying and standing by the door..... so as you can imagine i sometimes come home to a 3 ring circus LOL
