Got the bird!!
Few .... went to get the turkey this morn (always a bit of a panic untill its here, and in the fridge , after taking almost everything alse out to get it in ) .. its a 20 pounder .. looks like an ostrich

Nice Andy! I have to cook mine. A bird that size took me about two days of dry brining and 5-6 hours to roast (we do turkey for Thanksgiving so not ready for it again Christmas). Doing steak for tomorrow. Hope max enjoys his Turkey!

Thankful the pilgrims got out I the uk. Just kidding, it's an American holiday of thanks that is celebrated with a traditional meal and is a family thing. It is at the end of November. Turkey and all the fixings are the traditional meal. It was origionally celebrated by the pilgrims after a really difficult first year in America. Became a holiday about a hundred and fifty years or do ago when Abraham Lincoln was our president.
