thank you everyone, i am like a proud mum lol. saying that i have just had to tell river off cos she was eating some left over tea of my daughter..tut tut... i dont like telling her off, i just say river no, that was naughty.. and she just looks at me with her ears down and sulks off.. i have given her a cuddle all ready thou, i cant stay mad at her for long.. she has not taken food like that before thou. I guess now she is feeling more at home she will try these little things.. bless her.. Yes my daughter and her are best friends..i wanted to post that pic for all the ppl out there that think staffys are aggressive. i know we all love staffies here.. but look at that pic of river and my daughter and tell me river is aggressive.. silly uneducated fools...

You would have to be careful having a seat if River is all cozey on the sofa ... they're both the same colour lol She's a fine looking doggy ... I'm in love with all the pets on this forum.

lol, in fact that blue towel in the back ground is meant to be Rivers lying on the sofa blanky cos the sofas are leather, im worried her paws will piece the leather, but as you can see it dont work..lol.. she knows thou when we eat on the odd occasion on the sofa she is not allowed on then. she is such a good doggy

Never worked for ours either, but I doubt if you keep the nails trimmed she will bust the leather (usually it is tougher than people think). Mine just move the blanket out of the way or scratch at it to move it over. My cars are still doing fine and mine rides with me all the time on the leather.

I had the same problem when putting Monty in the car. I had nothing for him to sit on after taking him out and coming back into the car with dirty paws .. I put a towel on the back seats, but it would end up crumpled in one place .. so now I bought a hammock for the back seats lol
