Bode
A couple of pics of Bode from 9 up to 12 weeks now
Im not sure if Jack was still cautious of the pup in general, or guading his packet of crisps here? lol
small child, puppy, and a boxing glove in a crate..... where was it going? lol
With "Sasha" our standard poodle (who is starting to tolerate the excited pup more now.....)
"Everyone, Sit!"
Innocent?
Guilty! lol
Thats it for now, Im sure there will be some great pics over christmas with all that wrapping paper!!! lol
Hope you all enjoy

Re: Bode
Great pics, Bode is very cute and Sasha is lovely too. Jack is right to guard his crisps, I've learned with Bella you can't let your guard down for a second or the nose is straight in the bag

Re: Bode
Time for another update, been a couple of months.
Bode was 8 Months yesterday, I don't notice her growth myself, but looking back on this thread I can see quite a difference in her lol.
When I take her to my mums to play with her staff x, you'll notice by the last pic, it gets a bit messy
Things have been good up to now, had a few skin issues I think have been resolved by moving over to JWB fish food.
Training continues to go very well, recall is not needed as much now, only on a very few occasions is the temptation to run off to that other dog when I say stay, too much for her lol.
Not had her weighed for some time, I'm off work today, so might pop into the vets to get that done so I can continue to monitor her growth.
I have moved away from a collar now in favour of a harness.
Bode was very quick to learn not to pull when just walking along, which I'm pleased about. Having the harness on, when there is a moment of excitement, she no longer chokes as I pull her back, and when walking along, she reacts much better than she did on a collar when I give the smallest "tug" which slows her down to walk beside me again.
I assume at 8 months she is probably about her full height now? how do you guys get your dog to stand to measure them? as soon as i try she decides to sit down lol......
Do staffs really continue to grow outwards up until 3 years old? , were on our 4th collar, second harness now lol..
The last harness I went against the shop keepers advice to get a smaller one, she claimed my dog was fully grown now, clearly doesnt know the breed, even I know she has more growing to do, its paid off though, as its a real snug fit now with plenty of room for expansion
Oh I nearly forgot..
I decided to let Bode have a season, was a decision i thought about over and over again, its been and gone now, no dramas there, behavior stayed as normal, apart from her occasionally trying to "hump" tommy, our three year old son, the funniest thing about it, was that as it was happening, he was in such a fit of giggles that he couldn't stop her, and we were laughing too much ourselves lol.. but she seems to have calmed back down again now
Ill be waiting another month -6 weeks before getting her spayed, i think...
Anyway... a couple of pics (ive got a video to post, but think I can put that in the video section only instead of this thread?

She's looking a real beauty!
Yes, I'm afraid that they do tend to fill out more until they're about 2-3 years old, and upwards until about a year old.

Thanks for the compliment
I'm quite happy about her growing wider, I love that look in the breed anyway, just need to think carefully about clothing / collars etc, Ive wasted some money buying too small in the past lol

Mind you, I was told the same about EBTs, but Dempsey still seems to be widening out, and he's 37 months old now.

Really?
I go there quite often, just round the corner, I'm on westone, so got to either eastfield park, abington park, real local areas, or drive over to one of the country parks in the area

Wow she is growing up what a beautiful girl she is. We dont notice though do we because we are with them all the time. As far as growth goes they two years growing up and one year growing out.

I rarely go to Abington park - much too busy, I can't let Dempsey off the lead! Eastfield Park's my local - only a five minute walk away, although I sometimes go to Bradlaugh Fields or the Racecourse.
