Hi all, only joined today
Hiya, I've joined this group to hear others experiences with their rescued staffie.
I rescued my gorgeous girl coming up 2 yrs ago now, she was absolutely brilliant for the first year, now she has turned into the demon pooch.
She wakes me up at 3-4am every morning, and is relentless until I get up, then she goes bk to bed She poops during the night, eats it then throws up everywhere, ruined carpets, chewed door frames etc...
She's been to the vets numerous times and has been put on a vet recommended diet to no avail. She is around 7yrs old now, and was in kennels for 4-5 yrs before she came home wiv me.
I have tried everything I can think of and have been recommended to try, I am all out of ideas, anybody else had/have problems and have overcome them?
Thanks for listening x

Hi & welcome.
Did something change in her routine after you'd had her for a year? Where does she sleep? What are her bed time routines?

Hi there and Welcome from Me and RoXy.
I agree with the others above.....has her routine changed or has there been anything that you can think that may have triggered her off ?

Hi all, thanks for your replies,,
She has 2 walks per day, with her last one being at 9pm. She then goes out for her last toilet around 11pm then she goes to bed.
Her routine hasn't changed and nothing in the houshold has changed either, I think she came to me to keep me busy x

Hi and welcome. I can only echo what has been said. She is obviously not a happy girl. What are you feeling like? Are you dealing with anything that may be causing an anxious or upsetting mood in the home?

Re: Hi all, only joined today
welcome , by the sound of things shes got to much energy start taking her on longer walks and running her more. 2 to 3 times a day if she is pooping alot you might be feeding her to much, try buying the best quailty food you can afford and get some scales to weight the amount you are giving her that way you can ajust the amount as required, if its at night time she is pooping just feed her in the morning that will give her plenty of time to empty in the day.

Re: Hi all, only joined today
I agree with the above. Try feeding in the AM and look at cutting down so she is on empty in the night. Also, try a long run instead of a walk in the evening as that should wear her out and get her sleeping.

Re: Hi all, only joined today
hi and welcome...
lots of exercise would be a good start..and speaking from experience with an old staffy that suffers from bad anxiety and panic attacks I have tried rescue remedy drops in his food and water which helped ( the human drops ) also a plug in pheramone dispenser...what about trying a thundershirt? I know only too well how frustrating it can be!
