jake probs with his head
jake had chip put in 3 weeks ago but only the last week when anyone goes near the top of his head he yelps phoned vet they thought it was him remembering having injections but it seams on top of his head anyone else had probs after injections or chips .
might have to have him x-rayed but wot will that cost

I have never heard of that before. Hope all is well and he gets over it. Could be some sore or something? They do the chipping in the neck area so not sure why the head would be affected.

Have you checked his head thoroughly? Looked for any lumps or bumps etc?
It's unlikely to be the chip, although they have been known to migrate. But you wouldn't need an x ray for that, the vet could just run the scanner all over to see if it's moved. Even a veterinary nurse could do that & it wouldn't cost you a thing!

funny bit about it is he only seems to yelp when he's excited and you stroke his head other times u can stroke his head no probs weird innit

Is he not a bit nervous maybe try stroking his underneck area the chip can migrate but not up ways they usually go down the leg

Agree with Caryll as well. Also, they can sometimes be a little nervous about having their heads touched so Gem gave good advice as well

same again
now he was ok for about 2 weeks so thought it was an ear infection or summet .
but now he's doing it again yelping sometimes when u go near his head checked ears seem or8 just wandered if it could be growing pains.??

yes maria we went to pets at home in wakefield and cost us £10 but they said that it is normally £20

No I don't think is growing pains, have you called the vets, might be worth an ask? Xx

An injection into the scruff of the neck, most don't even bat an eyelid and I reccomend you have it done asap

it's just when he's excited and u stroke back of his head and neck he yelps but dunt seem to be in loads of pain that's y i thought last time was an ear infection was ok for 2 weeks and just came back but not as bad
