Re: Kinda venting
At least you have a great sounding family, friends and your beautiful dog and horse. Some of my friends are still single and there isn't a real apparent reason. Everyone lives at a different pace and sometimes you have to just accept that your life shouldn't be compared to "everyone else." Sometimes it seems like others have it so much better, but maybe reality is that they don't. It'll all come together for ya if you are patient. And remember, never settle for a rotten fella. Oh yeah, some of us married/ kid having folk still like to talk about our pets A LOT!

Re: Kinda venting
Oh i dont want kids yet (well if i was married i would) just kinda feel im left behind hahah.
The other thing annoying me is that my friends horse lives with me and she pays half of the Hay (which i get in bulk each year) and the farrier about 2ce a year. Apart from that she pays me no water, leccy, care, grass, grooming.
Its SO annoying. But i love him if i tell her to pay she says "ok ill get rid of him" she knows i wont get rif of him though.

Sounds like emotional blackmail to me. Its good to have a rant now and then. You are far from being over the hill and havea great deal to look forward to. BTWall I talk about (it seems) is my dog!

I didn't get married till I was 32, and I'm so glad I left it till then! So many of my friends had married young & were tied down with husbands, children etc & were really fed up with the grind of it all!
Enjoy your freedom - living your life now will make you a more rounded person when the time comes to settle down!
I think your friend is being really unfair, but I suppose you've no choice but to put up with it if you want a horse-sitter.

your friend is being unfair. she only looks after your horse 3 weeks of the year so she isnt really doing her bit to even earn the leccy and water.
kinda know abit where your coming from. i had my kids in my early 20's but my brother is 9 years younger than me and so his kids came along when mine were in their teens and my sister is 16 years younger so her kids have arrived in the last 5 years now mine are in their 20's. my mates all had their kids later than me too so when my mates went out i had to stay in cos it was go out or get nappies so lost a few so called friends along the way. now i dont work either cos of a bad back so all i have is the dogs and so with no kids to talk about any more thats that part of the conversation i cant join in unless asked for advise on what i used to do. and no one talks about their dogs theres only me thats a sucker for the dogs every activity i could even tell you all the exact brindle pattern i think. so i have no work to talk about no kids to talk about and no one talks about their dogs so i just stay in cos i have not a lot to say. i go out now and again but usualy end up not saying a lot just sit and get drunk and dance to cheesy pop or as it was saturday cheesy christmas songs.

I think maybe some of your freinds are a little envious of you at times too you have the security of a good family and its not at all easy the whole commitment ,kids and making your own way in life !!!!!you have loads of time enjoy the freedom you have.
I kinda know were your coming from my first horse was for my daughter and she grew had a child and lost intrest and Ive had the joys of caring for her ever since she very rarely shows any interest anymore but to me a pet is for life and thats my motto so she will be here with me till the end
