Laura, John & Tate

Hi Everyone
Im Laura and my Fiancee is John and we live in Studley, Warwickshire.
We are getting a little staffy pup which we pick up on 19th December, he is Tate. We are so excited and wish we could pick him up now but he is only 4 weeks old. We raided Pets at Home last weekend and have everything set up ready for the little treasure. We also visited him last weekend to take an old Tshirt with our scent on for him to snuggle up to.
This is our first dog so any advice or tips is much appreciated.
We will be entering him into the Puppy of the Month Competition so keep an eye out.

Such an exciting time, waiting to pick up a new pup!

Wow happy days hello

Be prepared for him to whine the first few nights and not have alot of bladder control. He will need to be taken out every hour or so and after play, sleep or exercise. Teething is also a bit stressfull because he will want to chew everything. Frozen sliced carrots and sweet potatos help as does a Kong put in the freezer for a bit.

They are a bit of trouble but so very cute. Alsodecide what the rules of the house are before you get him. Don't let him do something as a puppy (sleep on the bed, couch or whatever else) that you won't want him doing when he is an adult.

Browse around the forum for a bit or do a search there is alot of great info on here. If you have nay questions just ask there is always someone around to help.
