Re: Clarkson
He should be sacked. What awful things to say! He says it's his strange sense of humour, but to me what he said wasn't at all funny.

Re: Clarkson
everyone knows that jeremy clarkeson couldnt be serious about anything. he has a tendancy to think everyone has the same sense of humour as him and doesnt care what he says. sometimes i think he opens his mouth before he puts his brain into gear. but i watched the clip and you could see he wasnt serious. he sounds like a piggot at times but his show is funny

I don't care whether he was serious or not, what he said wasn't on. You can't make a joke out of people who are so desperate that they throw themselves in front of trains! What sort of humour is that?

Re: Clarkson
i agree its not funny and some of the stuff he comes out with is not funny but i wonder what the reaction would have been if it were some stand up comedian that had said as part of his act.

Re: Clarkson
Maybe, but he isn't a comedian, and he wasn't doing a stand up turn. I just think it's insensitive at best.

Re: Clarkson
Jeremy Clarkson needs to look at the demographic of people that enjoy his show... I used to really enjoy Top Gear, but now I think he is a tool and I'll refuse to watch his program again.

I normally love this man, and whilst i didn't agree with the strikes i think that was a little harsh. He should definitely be punished!

Re: Clarkson
No, he just has a warped sense of humor and of course people take it to seriously.
He has just released a new DVD or something, think about it extra publicity!

Re: Clarkson
I think some people need to grow a sense of humour, he was obviously joking when he made the comments and he did not offend me. He did in fact start of the program siding with the protesters. It was then suggested that it should be a balanced debate he made the comment about the protested being shot.
I thought people in this country are entitled to their opinion or is that only when it does not offend others.

How can you take what he said 'too seriously'? It was offensive!

Re: Clarkson
About 4 months ago a young woman my oh worked with threw herself under a train at Blisworth, Northants. Was that funny? No. Was listening to Clarkson joking about it funny? No again.
And I doubt that I was the only person who was listening and who had known of someone who had committed suicide in this way. It's about time someone told Clarkson that he isn't a comedian - he should stick to presenting the boring programmes he's best at.

Re: Clarkson
I was just about to make a thread about this LOL
But nah, I don't think he should. Sure it's not funny and everyone recognises that now, even him and he actually apologised for it as well. I've met Clarkson face to face and I know how arrogant and proud he can be and full of himself, and to apologise take a lot for anyone, but he's known for his outgoing nature and speech.
He's said sorry, we know it's not true, but I still think Clarkson for PM anyday, even though I myself and working within the public sector.
This man, in my opinion, is legendary
