Lemmy training
well seems i have been updating you on lottie so i thought i would tell you about lemmy this time too.
he loves the training centre. no little growly squabbles with the other dog tonight so that was a bonus. a lab got a way from its owner she thought he could do the exercise off lead but he obviously thought different and came to play with lemmy so lemmy being the sociable boy he is obliged.
anyway these classes for the 7 week course is little extras mainly to keep the dogs listening and socialising and getting extra browny points but some of the tricks are good. they won't let him do agility till he's 12 months which means he cant start till the next class in february now so we are filling in the time between now and then.
the first week was put your toys away and go to bed which have had a quick refresher every week. trust me though the GO TO BED doesnt need any more refreshers he is told it often enough as the weeks goes by
last week it was give me your paw but not in your hand on your foot. put your foot out and the dog touches it with the paw.
other things for sit and down. so instead of saying down pete picked a whistle and sit is a click of his fingers. this week a cone was thrown in the mix so he goes to the cone touches with his paw then comes back to you. all these things are mixed into the hours class and next week will have something different thrown in.
he has his moments like they do at that age but 90% of the time he still listens and does as he is told. he likes learning new things and the more we do the more stimulated he is that he doesnt have time to get up to any mischeif. Lottie also learns all this during the week too and she picks them up pretty quick. the trainer is pleased with her so she might even be going in a clas after christmas if she keeps this up

Re: Lemmy training
Your classes sound like fun and your babies are doing well. Tyson starts agility in January.
