Earlier this year I bought my OH a pair of 'male' chinese dwarf hamsters as a random pressie (as you do) and I have just gone to clean the snakes out and feed the hamsters when I noticed 3 little baby hamsters in there!!!!

Not too uncommon I would imagine among the small rodents(two males or two females having kids, I mean) - my sister got two female mice and.. well.. let's just say one was more feminine than the other Laughing

No they don't eat each other, these are dwarf hamsters so can live together Smile

they aren't old enough yet to be taken from mum yet anyway

I love hamsters, although it was only the dwarf and the russian that where nippy. My last one Syrian/Golden was a right poppet. Her and Moo got on a treat! Would get another but they are dam noisey lol Xx

Well i'm planning on separating the boys and the girls into groups to live. Although I think now we know they have already mated, we will put them back together again to get more babs.

Chinese dwarf hamsters aren't nippy at all, my old russian would eat your fingers though! lol These lot don't make any noise it's rather nice Smile
