just like to say hi to all staffie lovers and owners. im newish to being a staffie owner and im so glad i purchased ours.hes a rescue dog but hes so good with kids and people. even our cat he likes, we also have a lurcher as well and they get on well great. the only thing ive noticed with our staffie is his weight as shot up..he only has 1 tin of food per day and a handfull of buiscuits..what could i do to get some weight off?

Hello

Tinned dog food is made up of additives and water and is not good quality feed.
Weight is all about food intake excercise and metabolism but some neutered dogs you will find do hold weight more and its very hard to control.

Hi again, well he has one tin of chum and buiscuits per day..i try and get him out at least once per day for about an hour..woods and park..but he dosent like male dogs so have to try and watch him while out..

Hi and welcome, i think upping his exercise will help even on lead walks dosnt need too be off lead walks maybe even jogging with him if possible. Maybe look at his diet and the ingredients in his food too.
