Well Rocky has become a Little Sh**
Right the storey goes.. MY New addition puppy which we had him from 5/6 weeks but at the age of 1yr 5 month.. him and our oldest of 6years decieded to shall we say "do the dance" and ended up having a litter, which in all honesty i never throught would as she mother'd him since the hour I brought him home..
but anyways Now rocky at the age of 1yr and 9month has had his bits (chopped) all of a sudden started to moan/winge alot and i enterd the kitchen where he sleeps 1 day after i had been shoppin to find he chewed a bit of the coner kitchen wall and we are totaly confused as he has never chewed a single thing since we had him.. and i was just wondering if this is down to be left out from the run of the house while tash had her litter and now just wants more run of the house and loads of attention he missed out on??
any help/advice be Great
Thanks... Taylor69,family

Re: Well Rocky has become a Little Sh**
Fathers will mate with daughters/mothers with sons they don't care its all natural at the end of the day, which is why it is so very important to keep them apart during seasons to prevent deformaties.
Anyways it is also important to either have a stud dog one which you will mate or have a neutered dog can't have both. Alot of the time bad behaviour is down to frustration imagine you had sex once and was never allowed to again...wouldn't you be frustrated? My boy Taz was so i increased his exercise and mental stimulation and that has worked wonders.

yeah the both been seperated when she was in season but now she isnt and he had his chopped 2month ago he just seems to be a little shi** and moan/winged and started to bite the coner of the kitchen wall.. but il tryin the more walks even tho he gets 3x a week if no more aswell as being allowed to run the house and back garden
Re: Well Rocky has become a Little Sh**
They really should be walked twice a day for for 45 minutes at a time. They are an enegetic breed and need exercise and mental stimulation or they will tend to be destructive. They need to be able to release their energy in a positive manner. Training and mental stimulation is also needed.

Do you really mean three times a week?
If so, then there's your problem! A dog, any dog, needs at least 2 and preferably three walks a day. Staffs need those walks to be at least 45 minutes each, and preferably more! Having the run of the house & garden isn't enough for a dog of his age.
He's bored & frustrated.

Re: Well Rocky has become a Little Sh**
I would tend to agree with Caryll, he needs more mental stimulation. Everything has changed for him, he has been seperated from your other dog and doesn't understand why. He is feeling frustrated and anxious and is displaying his frustration by chewing thinks and crying. Lots more walks will help as will playing with him (playing ball, frisbee etc) also some extra training sessions should make him feel more sociable and happier. I would also take him out for a walk with Tasha when she can leave the pups (around 4 weeks) to give her a break and also to let him see her, im sure it will settle him down. He just feels as though his pack and stability has been pulled from under him and he is confused.

I would agree with the walks.
Lola gets 30-45mins in the morning.
10-15mins at lunchtime/dinnertime,
15-20mins at night time and lots of play inbetween xxx
