jackfrost-joker-jeep?

i took both my dogs by force off someone who was abusing and starving them.....
they have no papers...
as far as i know there lines are jackfrost joker and jeep...
Pickle Blue Eyes is Telcs uncle...
are those real lines?
i was told that they are nearlly pure amstaffs ecept for about 3% english bullterrier...
im not going to ever show them dont know if i could without papers just curious as to there history.
the guy who breeds them is one of those people that should never ever ever ever ever own dogs... not even a stuffed toy dog.... he used to breed theem all the time and the bitches where allways near starvation.
{all his dogs are dead now... the last litters died of parvo then his last two bitches tore each other apart.... him in jail now rotting haha good job}
My question is really a nuture over nature one...
His dogs have a reputation of being aggresive and uncontrolable... his males where killers of other dogs and cats.
Although my boys are a little boistress with each other they never go to far they love each other and are best mates. There play fighting is allways in fun. Apart from the odd missing sock they arnt that destructive.... they whine when we walk past a house with some barking mutt... {i ALLWAYS walk my dogs on a leash}
They seem to be well behaved dogs good around kids.
Telc is not so good around aggressive dogs i grabed him when he was about 8mnths old and he had to fight for his food... Pickle i took at about 2mnths old... he was a wee starved rat...

I think i have raised them both well but if they come from such a crazy guy who breed vicious dogs do i need to worry that one day they might revert or is my loving happy safe training and enviroment enough to cancel out there past?

Some bull type breeds are naturally dog aggressive - they are born with a deep seated instinct to fight. However, it sounds as though this guy's dogs were aggressive because of the way they had been treated/brought up. If that's the case I doubt you'll have too much to worry about.

You may have to watch them a bit when the little'un starts to mature, just in case there's a dominance issue between them, but other than that I can't see any reason why they should turn nasty.

Dogs that are born vicious (genetically) are generally nasty virtually from birth, and your two certainly aren't that!

Pickle is already the dominate one... Telc dosent seem to mind his nature is much more relaxed and calm. He is more inclined to just go with the flow.
Pickle on the other hand is alot more excitable.
Telc slept through guy fawkes night.
Pickle barked at them until i took him for a walk around the neibourhood to see them all now he dosent mind the noise and lights in the sky.

I don't think you have to be too concerned. Just make sure to watch them and understand body language and put a stop to any potentially bad situation before it fully devolps.

Yeah I've had a very DA staff!! and as long as you are on the ball (all the time) should be fine, and as you said, ya dont let them off the lead so no worries there ... but I have found unfortunately you have to also be responsible for other idiots allowing their dogs to come running up to yours, which I found really stressfull with Zac , he was a couple inches away from a face hold a few times as dogs came running upto him

My veiw is that once a bull breed has had a fairly serious scrap or two, whether it be sibling hierarchy based or just general dog aggro, its always there, and has the potential to come out anytime! which is prob the same for most breeds, but ours is a little more focussed and mentally/physically fit for the task!!

Sounds like you have good/solid foundations to build on. Sometimes aggression is in the breeding. Keep doing what you're doing, instilling the good behaviour with reward either by a treat or play. If you know what situations to avoid you are more than half way there.

Well done for rescuing them and saving them from almost-certain death. They are lovely dogs and look very fit and healthy, an obvious credit to you given how they were when you got them!

I think what others have said is spot-on, as long as you continue to give them a balanced and stable lifestyle and they are not showing any aggression at the moment I am sure you will do fine

I've never heard of Jackfrost or Joker but Jeep is a very famous Pitbull from the late 70's early 80's.

Correct ... If I remember right, Jeep was a Grand Champ pit dog, and very well known by dogmen!

He was a CH pit dog. What made him famous was his ability to sire champions. He was the greatest sire of all time when I was reading about Pitbulls years ago.

Cant find my APBT books ... I've obviously "put them safe" somewhere

but yeah, he is very well known along with the likes of "Jimmy Boots", "Zebo", etc etc, one of my books has pretty much the full pedigree of most of the main foundation pit dogs from back in the day, as well as brief accounts of the match's that earned them Champion, and Grand Champion status ! (for those that dont know, a Grand Champ is more than 5wins in the pit) horrible to think about I know, but very important info if you are interested in the breed as I am

Back to the top: To be perfectly honest, I would bet everything I have, that your dog has absolutley nothing to do with the Champion APBT "Jeep" of old (Crenshaw owned) ... what makes you think he is ?

This is horrible history and cannot beleive they have champion and grand champion by some nutless evil freaks in this and the dog doesnt look scared hope the dogmen die a slow miserable painful death

iamsarge - I can understand you wanting to know about this, I would if I took a dog on ... but I would deffo say the bit about "Jeep" is total bullsh!t .. specially reading what the previous owner was like .. its like saying I am related to Mike Tyson cus someone told me so , anywho, lets see more pics of ya dogs
