Already?

Just got back from our early morning walk to find not one, but two houses with Christmas lights twinkling in the window.

A little early don't you think or is it just me?

its a little early for me, but each to their own and i bet it looks lovely

I've always done it the day after Thanksgiving when I got back from shopping.

Sorry I forget most members are in Europe. Thanksgiving is the last Thursday in November. The next day decorations usually get put up. This is also the start of Christmas shopping season and almost every store has the biggest sale of the year on this day. We call it Black Friday (not sure why)

American Thanksgiving is always celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November

Oooooohh too early. Dec 1st should always be xmas light turn on night. So we spend Dec 1st decorating then have a light ceremony!

I usually do it the first weekend in december

I always forget that it isn't an international holiday! Here in the states it is kinda the kickoff to the Christmas season. I think the English should adopt it. After all the pilgrims were your peeps first. That way y'all can get the turkey out of the way before Christmas! FYI, lights should be outlawed until after Thanksgiving. Our next door neighbor has lights up for every single holiday including UK and Irish ones! Yikes!

i went into M&S last month and they had their light on through out the store
