Scooting on bum???
Hiya, Lola has been scooting on her bum all weekend??
She is up to date with vaccinations and she had her dewormer tablets last tuesday. Is she just itchy??
Its several times a day and constantly licking her bum too.
Her stools have been ok apart from today they were a bit loose.
Any suggestions??
Vet gave her a clean bill of health...
Thanks

Re: Scooting on bum???
Well, could be one of several things.
She could be coming into season, unless you've had her spayed?
She could have an itch!
She might need her anal glands seeing to - I'd leave that to the vet; very messy & smelly & they're paid to do the nasty jobs like that!

She's currently in season, we'll be getting her spayed once she's finished but not sure how far she's into her first season.
If it doesnt calm down soon I'll take her to the vet again.

It could well be her season that's doing it. If she doesn't seem better in about a week, then I'd ask the vet to check her glands.
