Re: Charlie
He's gorgeous aint he! Does anyone else think he has a mastiff face? Its cos of the mask and cos his muzzle is still a bit squished at the mo, his face really really reminds of a mastiff! Is it normal at his age to still have a squished face?
Guest- Guest
Re: Charlie
There's got to be Mastiff in him somewhere down the line, i'm gonna ask his breeder. Mastiffs (english) are my second favourite breed in the world so if he has mastiff in his blood somewhere, i'm not too bothered. I know mum and dad and grandparents are full pedigree staffys but i'm not sure about further back.

Re: Charlie
Yeah it is fawn but his back looks much darker. Very strange but that might change as he gets older. What about his muzzle still being squished? Is that normal at 4 and a half weeks?
Guest- Guest
Re: Charlie
Yeah i've seen mum and dad. Mum is a red show winner and dad is a huge black staff. All the other pups were dark and all had bully heads but Charlie is totally different

Re: Charlie
Hiya! Charlie is gorgeous!!! He looks totally normal dont worry about a thing. When pups are first born they litterally do look all the same wether its a jrt a staff or a doby lol then they slowly start to develop their features. All those wrinkles is a good sign as he's got lots of filling out to do and not nesseserily a sign of mixed breed. He looks all staff to me! I totally love reds with black masks and black rimmed eyes they make such gorgeous looking adult dogs and fawn im sure will be beautiful to! Ive got my fingers crossed for him!
My kaos was totally different from the rest of his litter mates, he was the biggest by far and seemed to have a different head shape and colours and marking etc.....
Anyway he's lovely! x

Re: Charlie
Lol. Wazza and Bluestaff, yr hilarious. Its not my hands, its the breeder, but she is female! My degree is in English, so strictly academic! If all goes well, charlie will be coming home next wkend, at 6 and a half weeks old. The breeder is moving house then so wanted the puppies homed by then. He will be fully weaned by then and its not as if he'll benefit from playtime with his littermates by staying til 8 weeks Thank you all for your lovely comments, I'm totally in love with him already and so proud of him for getting this far. There next 2 weeks cant go quick enough for me!

Re: Charlie
Tell me about it, he's only 6 and a half weeks old, he's gonna be a monster. My dad just phoned and said that he slept well last night. He whined for about ten minutes when they put him in his crate, but they just ignored him and went up to bed and he settled down. They said there was a bit of mess in his crate this morning but he hadn't woken them up to take him out or anything. I can't wait to get him home!!!!!!!

Just cause he's changed his name to sound more English doesn't mean that you don't recognise him, surely??

Re: Charlie
A few of Charlie sleeping, taken today. Would appreciate veryone's thoughts on his size and colour? He's gonna be 7 weeks old tomorrow and is huge an chunky already. And his colouring his so strange!! He's so gorgeous tho, can't wait til Sunday!!
Guest- Guest
Re: Charlie
Difficult to say about size cause there's nothing in the pics to compare him with, but he looks a really chunky boy. I'd say he's gonna be a big un!
The colour is what in Bull Terriers is known as a Fawn Smut, ie Fawn, with overlay of black hairs, especially on the face, back & tail. It's a lovely colour, I've got to say - very striking.

Re: Charlie
So it s a normal colour then? I think it looks very mastiff-ish, especially cos of hs size and he has a black mask.

Re: Charlie
Did u see his parents is registered? If not then u will never really no if he is crossed or has been in the past ie grandparents etc. But he is lovely whatever he is lol x

A lot of the reds/fawns have black masks. Yes, it's a bit mastiff-y, but I wouldn't read too much into that. There are a lot of breeds with similar colouring!
Can you show a pic where he's against something that can show his size? It's hard to judge how big he is when he's laying down - his bed could be any size at all!!

Re: Charlie
I wll ask my dad's wife to send e another whe she can. He was laying on the rug at her feet in that pic I think. I'll try to get a better one on, I'm just working with what they send me
