my past pets
This is Bella, our beautiful golden retriever, she died aged around 10 (not sure) due to cancerous tumours all over her body, we had to have her PTS it was so hard. we got her when i was 5 years old.
she used to eat socks, and had at least three surgeries to have them removed from her digestive system.
This is Elmo. He was given to me for my 10th birthday and he was my best friend, I used to take him every where and he slept in my bed every night. he loved catching mice and fish (not that he ever did). he was bitten by a tiger snake while my parents were with him on holidays. they found him curled up in the sun, but he wasn't alive any more.
after he had is dew claws removed
also marbles were his favourite toy
This is Diesel, he was a chihuahua and a little character, we only had him for a year or so i think, he was also bitten by a snake. in true chihuahua form he picked and choosed the people who he wanted to associate with, I had a few friends who couldnt touch him because he would snap at them. but i still loved him. little brat.
I miss them all so much and I still think of them all the time.

So sad to lose them that way. They were beautiful! I completely understand missing them all the time.

Re: my past pets
Such cute dogs! I also had a retriever growing up. She looked a lot like Bella. She made it to aged 13.
Diesel looked like my Chi cross Roxie. Sounds like they had similar personality traits too.
Thank you for sharing these pics.

Re: my past pets
RIP Bella, Elmo & Diesel.
Elmo is the first JR I've seen (other than my stepson's) whose ears sat up a bit. His had permanent upright ears.

ha wow! Elmo was actually a JRT foxy X I just remembered, we got him from a pet shop near our house and realised when we saw some people walking a female absolutely identical to him that he was bred by the people who lived just a few doors down from us haha!
