Hello! :)
Heya, my name is kelly, i adore staffys! considering i've grown up with staffs all my life ha, mom will only have this breed, not that im complaining ha! they are amazing! .. i have studied 5yrs animal care at college, and hope to carry that on with a career in animal care but we'll soon see haha.
I have a 3month old male staffy pup called vinnie, his a sweety!, very bouncy and playfull and finally getting to learn that fingers and limbs are not for chewing ha! and that his not allowed to drag his puppy matts around the place haha but thats pups for ya lol! ..
I had up untill 3 wks ago a big boy, he was 8yrs old and rescued from bham dogs home when he was 2 and we had to have his tail amputated due to previous cruelty!, he was a gorgous brindle softy!, sadly tho he took a nasty fall chasing a cat and damaged the base of his spine, loosing in 2 days the complete use of his hind legs, there was nothing the vet could do and the only option to be kind to him was to have him put to sleep, that was crushing!! but i am glad he is no longer suffering, seeing a bouncy playfull dog go from that to not even able to pull himself up is horrible thing to watch! .. i will always miss him and he is 100% irreplacable! and hope he enjoyed his new life living with us!
I also have 2 guinea pigs, 1 rabbit and 1 hamster in my little animaly family haha, here are some pictures of my gang

Where did you study, and what was it like? That's what my daughter wants to do when she's finished her 'A' levels.

I studied it at solihull college theres a couple other colleges that do it also .. it was fab! no exams just coursework and tests i.e presentations, hands on work etc, you learn so much! but you do see the downsides aswell so just to prep her you have to watch cruelty sides aswell etc, but best thing i did, hope she enjoys it

Re: Hello! :)
Thanks for that. She wants to take a degree, but she's going to wait & see what's on offer this time next year. We have a really good Uni here called Moulton College & they are known for good training in animal work. They have their own farm & stables so she'd be really happy there!!

Re: Hello! :)
no problem .. Aww yeah, having a farm and stables there is brill! means she can have hands on with a wider range of animals! .. good luck to her
