I was wondering if any one else who has a male pup goes through the same as we do, or do we just have a randy puppy ?

sorry seriously its natural behaviour all boys hump everything in site. watch the cushons on your couch he'll have them too. the trick is to keep telling him no and taking him away from it or take the thing away from him. he will grow up a bit soon and won't do it so much

Hahaha! yep, normal. However, not every male is big into this when they get older. Some are, some aren't. The earlier you work on it like Julie said the better. Kinda funny at first, not so much later.

Dominance and frustration never lead to anything good, so best nib it in the bud asap.
You need to redirect this frustration, a little more mental stimulation to take his mind off the toys when you remove them so he doesn't take his frustration out on you or anything else.
For him to be doing it for so long he must of been very frustrated, not even most adult dog matings go on that long.
So definatly more physical and mental stimulation.

Thank you for the reply's, well tommorow he will be able to go out so hopefully that will tire him out a bit. I gave him his teddy back no sign of you no what lol i keep a close eye on him.

.. reminds me of when we got Max a large furry monkey (dog safe) that was bigger than he was at the time, he used to dry hump it almost till he collapsed ... it seemed so wrong lol, but funny as, and we were glad of the resbite to be honest as he hadnt had his jab so couldnt go out !

Yes im afraid when mine was a pup he humped his teddy till the stuffing fell out . Thought it was good practice for him
