millys walkies today
My son took milly for a walk with me today,The thing is i carnt walk milly myself with the condition i have.Left her With him while i popped in the shop she was very vocal again screaming for me it is so embaressing people staring At her and the shop assistants coming out to see whats going on.Thats not the only problem we have she doesnt Like asian people. Its not them i dont think she takes a disliking too its there clothes.3 asian women came out of the shop one of them was wearing a burka and milly started barking at her.Maybe its something to do with milly not being able to see her face so it makes her feel nervous of them

It happens. Sometimes dogs pick something or types they don't like, but it doesn't have anything to do with you. If you keep exposing her and leaving her with your son, she will get over it. My last dog didn't like black people. Made me feel horrid. Pretty hard when you have good friends. Sometimes its just the way they are. Exposure can help but it doesn't always take all the nervousness away. Understanding her and what sets her off is half the battle. You can always try to distract her with a treat or something until she calms down.

I agree. It seems that dogs get nervous if they cannot see peoples faces. We were watching something on TV one night and it showed a silhouette of a persons face. Rocky started to growl at the TV then barked at it because the face was not visible. He was Ok when we changed channel.

Personally I would start getting the family to feed her so she isn't so obsessed with you. It will take time, but with the family having more to do with her i should cut out anxiety. Also don't fuss, makes things worse too.
As for face coverings, Moo hates them, asians, hats, face coverings, personally I think it has to do with there sight as they only see in black and white so it must look odd. Again don't panic, as above socialisation Xx

Re: millys walkies today
my sons friend has a GSD and its words with him. certain words start him off and they dont know why cos they have had him since he was a baby. our last dog a GSD hated bags so anyone with a bag no matter what type he would bark at. Lemmy doesnt like plastic bags so if you walk passed him with a carrier bag he cowers away. as for the crying outside the shop. you need to let him go to someone else for a while each day. Lemmy was really clingy with me but i learnt to let him go (was gutted but needs must) and let the others take over. now its any of us LOL if anyone leaves the house he starts.
