A very close call.
Just wanted to share,
For the past 3 days I have been to hell and back with my little Cali, He has been very ill bless him. It started when he began refusing food and as you all know for any of our little nippers that is very unusual! Then he began vomiting so we got some tablets from the vets but the following day he still wasn't better in fact he was worse he hadn't eaten or drunk anything in 24hrs, so i went back to the vets, he had an injection to stop the vomiting but 24 hours later poor little Cali wouldn't eat, drink, pee, poo, play i was so worried. We returned to the vets for a radiogram and wouldn't you know it he had a blockage in his intestine, at this point i broke down crying .
Cali was admitted to doggy hospital put on an intravenous drip and if there was no improvement over the day he was scheduled for an operation to open up his little tummy.
Fortunately he responded to his treatment 3 days later he began eating and now he is almost back to his usual gorgeous little self. He is still not completely out of the woods yet but he hasn't vomited in a day and I am still waiting for a little present to come out the other end.
I thought i was always vigilant when it came to what went in his mouth but i suppose you turn your back for a second and you never know what could happen, we still don't know what he swallowed but i'm just happy we have got our little Cali back!

Re: A very close call.
its horrible and so frightening when they have to spend any time at the vets. I think that no matter how vigilant you are they always manage to find something they shouldn't. I've had that so many times with my 2. Glad he's getting better now and hope you get a little present out the other end soon ><
