Stressed at training classes
Just back from the first session and we have some self control issues
Ledger was generally ok when doing tasks but started jumping for treats (which he doesn't usually do) the problem was when we were sitting between activities when he was rather vocal the trainer said it is just him being stressed but the only thing that distracted him was treats (toys he shows no interest in) I don't want to get him thinking that barking will get him treats but holding them until he was quiet and calmer seemed to wind him up even more has anyone got anything that has worked for them?
Hopefully he will settle as the weeks go on anyway but any hints or tips gratefully received

Re: Stressed at training classes
I had this problem with Samson at classes really good when working and pulling and crying when waiting i took some rawhide chews and that kept him occupied most the time if you keep giving the treats it devalues the treat so then they don't work for the treat when you want them to.
Keep it up its worth it and he'll get better and more settled the more you go
