Dog saves another dog.
I'm sure some of you have already seen this video but this just goes to show how loving and caring dogs can be. We just do not give them enough credit!
What is more shocking is the fact that the cars just kept on rolling over the poor dog.

makes me so sad that people just keep driving over it "oh I can't stop, it's a freeway" well do you think they would stop if it was a child?
so beautiful to see animals helping each other, doesn't say a lot for the human race

He did survive and was adopted, but the stray dog that saved him was never found after that day.

Funny enough i think it was last year in America somewhere, an old man was knocked down by a hit and run driver but nobody stopped and another car hit him too. There is a video of that floating around somewhere and it just makes me sick to my stomach. I'm the type of person to get out of my car just to help someone across the road, i even got out of my seat on a bus to let an elderly lady sit, but as she was moving toward the seat th bus went around a corner so she lost her balance, i had to grab her by her clothing and pull her toward me to stop her falling.\
Somepeople are just too self obsessed and hav no empathy at all!

I couldn't watch all of the film. The first few seconds were enough for me . I get very upset watching this kind of thing (just a southern softie really) but after reading the following comments I was very pleased to know the dog was OK and was helped by another dog, Wow.

The first part is the hardestpart to watch, the rest is just heart wrenching, makes you go all goosepimpley and shed a tear. It just shows that animals can sometimes have more humanity than humans.

Re: Dog saves another dog.
Someone asked if people would stop if it was a child. Well no, they probably wouldn't. Anyone who hit the child would go to jail, people have no souls.

Re: Dog saves another dog.
I shared this on my FB page the other day because the poor dog lived, but I was balling my eyes out at the same time as watching it upset me so much
This post made me remember something I'd almost forgotten - one Xmas evening a very close friend was chatting to me while we were standing next to my car on a very busy main road in Adelaide when 3 dogs came running out of a side street. Two ran straight across the 3 lanes on our side and over the median strip when one got hit, the other one made it to the other side and my friend stopped the 3rd one.
I didn't think, I just bolted over to the middle of the road so I could check if this poor dog was still alive. He/she was lying in the middle lane of 3 and most of the traffic slowed down but unfortunately a few vehicles had to drive over the area where the poor dog lay. This was enough for me and I just put my hand up to the oncoming traffic and stepped off the median strip while my friend was yelling at me to stop or I'd get run over too. I actually was far too incensed to have cared at that point especially when one more car kept going and drove right over the top of this dog. I remember screaming to my friend to get the blanket out of the back of my car as I picked this poor limp dog up and carried it to the other side of the road. It was still alive just and I think it had internal bleeding from what I could see in the dark.
This was long before the days of mobile phones and I seriously had no idea what we were meant to do now. Next thing the car that had last driven in the lane the dog was lying in suddenly reappeared and I noted it was a taxi. The taxi driver had dropped off his elderly lady passenger who was very distressed by what she had seen, came back and proceeded to use his walkie talkie thingy to contact the police as he didn't know what to do either. The poor dog died in my arms and I felt so sorry for the poor cops who had to take this poor dog away as it distressed them as much as it did me.
I did hear the other two dogs survived, but I seriously hope nobody I know ever has to deal with this situation.
Funny what memories we all have hidden away, I hadn't thought of this for years till I read this post an it made me remember there are some people out there that care enough to try and do the right thing

That bought a tear to my eye Lee, how shocking, at least the dog passed away in your arms. I just can't understand people who can just drive over a dog its so wrong on so many levels.

Re: Dog saves another dog.
Neither can I Janey and I would still step off the median strip or into the middle of the road to take an injured dog (or worse) to the other side and I'm nearly 22 years older than I was back then.

It's sad but he didn't survive. Too bad they didn't find the other dog. Maybe he was just and angel doing some work.
