Will he get on with a Maltese
Hi
Im new to this site and wanted some advise. We have a female Maltese x that belongs to my daughter but my husband really wants a staffy. We have friends who are staffy breeders and they have assured us that the staffy will be fine with the maltese if trained right. What does everyone else think? Your opinions would be appreciated.

If your Maltese isn't used to being around other dogs there could be some issues but not neccessarily. I would advise you take your current dog along with you to see he she gets along with the new potentail pup.

I think at some point if you bring in a puppy one of the dogs will try and assert it's dominance. That being said I'm sure any dog can learn to get a long. They would have to if they were in a pack.
At least thats whats Cesar Milan told me
but seriously dogs a different and you might have problems and you might not have it all comes down to the individual dog and its owner.
Socializing, training and so on.

Re: Will he get on with a Maltese
I had a small dog in the house (dont know the breed) with a staffie and a bull terrier no problems there .
Its all about the upbringing .
The small dog was 12 years old so I think a puppy will not be a problem .
But it's all up to you and how you treat them
