Here Comes the Grey Hairs
My boy isn’t very well!!!
Not sure what’s wrong with him, he went to my aunties yesterday, and she took him to the park (I was at work) and when I got home last night there was no excited body wiggling over to me – no tail going 100mph – in fact I got a look and then completely ignored!!
He slept from about 6pm last night right through until about 9.30am this morning! And I’ve just phoned home to see how he is and my OH says he is laying on the floor asleep, he hasn’t played at all, he hasn’t ate any food – but at least he is drinking his water, and managed to move himself from my bed to the living room!
I also noticed he has a rash on his wee belly, I had to buy him a new harness (as he chewed his first one) so I got one that is just fabric but the bit for under his belly has like soft padding with really soft leather on the inside so I assumed it was the leather rubbing given him a little rash!!
Really worried about him so phoned the Vets and I have an appointment for Thursday but she says if he doesn’t perk up at all by tomorrow to go straight in with him!
I hope he gets better soon!! I’m feeling really guilty for being at work when I know he isn’t well!!

Re: Here Comes the Grey Hairs
Has he been sick or does he have the runs? Is he still going to the toilet normally?
If he's otherwise ok, I'd put it down to a bit of an upset. Obviously keep an eye on him, and if he seems any worse do as the vet said & take him straight there. Otherwise he'll probably bounce back to normal just as you get to the vets on thursday!

No sickness or runs, but is poor tummy must be empty as he hasn’t eaten anything since yesterday afternoon although I filled his water bowl twice last night and again this morning so I know he is getting plenty water at least that’s something!
I’ve not been well all weekend, either so I know how the wee man is feeling.
I think it will be cosies with mama and the water bottle tonight!!

Re: Here Comes the Grey Hairs
Try him with a little scrambled egg. See if you can tempt his appetite.

Re: Here Comes the Grey Hairs
Well I got home around 5.30 last night and he was waiting for me at the top of the stairs tail going, getting VERY excited - I let him in the garden and he was running around mad! He had a little bit of Home Made Stovies with me last night for tea!
Then we went to bed, he slept all night and woke me up at 7.30 jumping on my face!! Seems he is back to his little hyper self!! He was also barking at the TV every time my OH shouted at the god awful Scotland Foot ball game last night lol!!!
Still taken him to the vets about the little rash on his belly! But so glad he is back to normal, think Caryll was right maybe a little upset tummy!!!
xx

Re: Here Comes the Grey Hairs
The rash doesn’t seem to bother him at all, he doesn’t try to scratch or bite it, doesn’t rub it on the floor, nothing - but I would rather have it checked out!
Sean couldn’t wait to say “TOLD YOU SO” when Frank was back to normal last night!! I maybe over reacted a little but he’s my wee boy!! Although not so little these days!! Ha

Re: Here Comes the Grey Hairs
Glad he's feeling better now. They are our wee boys n girls so a little bit of overreaction is expected sometimes i think hehe. I get told i worry more about my 4 legged kids than i ever did abotu my 2 legged one (my excuse is that they cant tell me how they are feeling)

Re: Here Comes the Grey Hairs
Well the Vet is very pleased with Frank!
The Rash on his belly is friction because his harness isn’t a prefect fit so it will not be on him until he is a little bit bigger!!
He is now 7.5 kg which Vet said is fine, he is playful as he should be and listens when we call him!
I went in with about 40 question, Vet was happy to answer them all thankfully!
Seems all my worries are for nothing he is a perfectly healthy happy little pup!!
