Dog New vet

Post by Guest Sat Oct 08 2011, 15:54

Took my darling older girl to a new vet this arvo as she's been struggling a bit with arthritis in her back legs lately. He was really good with his suggestions for how to manage her skin allergy as well (same ideas as the vet I'd taken her to in Adelaide from 2000 - last October). thumbs up
Unfortunately I have to try an anti-inflammatory for 10 days (non-steroidal), so fingers X'd her back legs may have a little more strength or she may need to take the steroidal one. Her health and quality of life are the main thing that matters, but I wish she didn't have to rely on medications.
However, when you really think about it she is in her 70's, might be more than I'll ever get to.
Luv you long time my darling Kita girl. You are a true angel Love Struck

By my reckoning she's in her 90s! She's pretty good, isn't she?

Have you thought about any homeopathic meds? Ask your vet if he can recommend any.

Awww, she's a little darling.

At the end of the day, as much as we really don't want to have to medicate our pets, if it helps ease any pain / discomfort then it is truly worth it.
She's doing so well for her age and I know that you would do anyyhing to keep her happy and comfortable
