AFL Grand Final Empty AFL Grand Final

Post by Guest Fri Sep 30 2011, 01:22

Okay, so unless you're an Aussie (mainly Victorian) or follow Aussie Rules in another country, you won't know what I'm talking about. Tomorrow is the BIG ONE! Geelong Vs Collingwood (BOOOOOOOO) I personal go for neither, but I hate Collingwood Tongues and I don't really follow the footy! Lee (my husband) goes for Geelong. Grand Finals we usually spend with a load of friends, but this year we are having a "quiet one" Tongues The husband is VERY excited. Has bought meat from the butchers, has decided that an all day BBQ is in order and we have enough booze to actually have a party! So to everyone out there that is also looking forward to it: Have an awesome day! (unless you go for Collingwood Wink )

Thanks Big Grin I am sure we will. Lee wants to put some blue and white on Vlad as the poor dog is black and white (Collingwood colours LOL) I'll see if I can find something Big Grin It is likely we will have people drop by. Lee is a massive Geelong supporter, so win or lose, they'll come to see him! I'm in it for the BBQ and the booze! Big Grin

Post by Guest Fri Sep 30 2011, 15:06

I'm not happy as my team (Carlton) got knocked out by the stupid team over here (West Coast) 2 weeks ago and then they lost miserably last week.
I almost don't care who wins.
But that was just a lie - Go Cats!!!!!!!
So hate Collingwood thumbs down

Hey Lee better not let Tony hear you say that.. he LOVES The Eagles!! Laughing

personally I couldn't care less.. I grew up with my dad and 3 brothers who were all footy mad. I remember they all barracked for Sturt but I liked Glenelg ( cos I love tigers!! )

Ha ha Vanessa, I'm just a blues girl through and through both Sturt & Carlton. Trevor is a Sturt supporter although all his family are Nth Adelaide, however he's also a one-eyed Crows supporter.
After years of shift work I've lost touch with it (other than "footy tipping" in the last few), but I love to stir the pot, especially at work this last few weeks. Laughing

Well, it is now the morning of Grand Final. Lee has his Geelong shirt on, his Geelong hat, the house has begun to be decorated in Geelong colours and we have a Geelong flag in one window. He is about to begin the begin the breakfast BBQ so he is wearing his Geelong apron Tongues Dann you are very lucky! Lee would love to be going! Have an awesome day. Two good teams but hopefully Geelong are better because I really don't like Collingwood! Geelong beat them by 96 points a few weeks ago... hopefully can replicate that today Big Grin

Did you ask him for any tickets? Tongues

I'm assuming you knew Troy, Adam and Scott too.......I've heard stories that even during there days as kids....Joel used to dominate his brothers at footy.
