Is it ok to give dogs a small amount of cheese now and then.My dogs love a bit of cheese now and again.I only give them little nibbles. After all it does contain calcium which is good for bones. Smile

Yes a little bit is OK now and then, I think it does give them a bit of wind though, if you give too much.

Cheese is ok for most dogs but some dogs with sensitive stomachs can suffer from lactose intolerence so don't give them too much! It is also very high in fat so again give in moderation.

As already mentioed small amount of cheese is fine for most dogs some may get upset belly from it, but generally a small amount is fine, also remember the fat content which is another reason to keep it to small amounts.

We sometimes use tiny bits of cheese for training treats if we run out of the fish4dogs little stars or just for a change. Also small chunks of liver great for training treats aswell.
