Out hunting blueberries

We went for a little trip today to see if we could find some blueberries.

Gummi LOVES blueberries. And any other berries - he picks them right off the bush. (I've rotaded this picture correctly, it just takes forever for photobucket to get it right. It'll end up the right way eventually, though.)


The weather was a "little" unstable.  


You know you're in the middle of nowhere when there's sheep by the road!


The one on the right had the silliest grin on his face - wish I'd had my real camera but the charger is still missing. So not a too good picture of it.


We parked here and had a little lunch before heading out.

We had to cross this river both ways - on the way back I had to put him down once and he had a swim. Poor guy, but I was more afraid of dropping him if the wobbly stone I was on dropped me in the river.

The cabin is there specifically for those out hiking or going to that lake to fish. There's a toll road to get into the area, and the money go to maintaining the roads and the cabins. It's got a wood burning oven, some firewood, benches, candles..

And no - I didn't see any visible signs of his berry eating.

As for how far - it's very far from where we live. We're now up by the lake where we have an apartment in my boyfriend's parents' house. That's about 2,5 hours from our house. Getting to the cabin in the picture was maybe just under an hour? We have many closer places to walk, though, but this is where he's used to go looking for blueberries. So that's where we went.
