going up 25% next month and it going up but another 10% in the winter

Thank god I have electric I love having my heating on

the electric is going up 18% next month i dont know about winter

I know lol! Apparently the companys haven't made profit in 3 months

they talking out of their backside they got money coming out of their noses

Out there noses They can charge what they like, once again we haven't a choice! Its a shame wages don't go up in tune with the rate of inflation! Xx

it makes me so mad, paying dividends to shareholders and we have to pay for that, they should never have been priviatised same with water and electric, these are essential to live

what happens if you cannot pay

it's a desgrace! the goverment need to sorting it out or they going find there going alot of homeless people on the streets

also but what about people like us who are near the breadline and have to sacrifice food to pay for water and hot water

i know for 1 thing with food keeping going up, the heating will the on alot less in winter. maybe once a day in the morning

i work for an investment company who deal in stocks and shares and the dividends they are paying to rich people who can afford to buy shares is terrible people should boycott buying these shares

how many houses & flats are in the uk i think we paid around £860 on gas each year they must be racking the money in!!

about 20 years ago i used to pay about 25.00 per month now i pay 260,00 per month for gas and electicity

if they not make a huge amount of profit someone is nicking billions off them!

or if they being greedy they will end up losing out on money becasue there going be hell of people cutting back on gas & electric so at the end of the day there profits are going drop.

it should be state owned not owned by shareholders who want yours and mine money

who sold it off was it the tories or labour?

maggie a well as the council flats and council home so many tories got rich by this - not as though i am like labour infact i thing no one is fit to run this country

i know i feel like that at the moment i look on the news and it seem that everyone else are getting back to normal and we still struggling and we have tories always blaming labour it's soo depressing at times IMO tories should be getting us back on our feet and stop blaming it on the last goverment it get me well mad!!

i am realyt a placid person unless it come to politics them people have got no idea, they have been to oxbridge got loads in the bank and they think they know what is good for us

al the experts said the tories was taking big risks & take longer to recover from it look like they was right

what i think about politics at the moment i cannot repeat here but all i will say is that we should be proud to be english and now we are not

the next 10 or plus years are going be like this!!

Don't know if this will make any of you feel better. The Japanese government is having to subsidize the compensation payments for people affected by the earthquake and nuclear power plant by raising the price of electricity as well as a 3% hike in the sales tax. We barely even use the airconditioner anymore.

yea i saw a program about it

we pay tops for petrol, drinks fags council tax, gas. electicty etc etc
and yet have to wait 2 weeks for a doctors appointment cannt get a dentist, schools are dropping to bits etc etc etc national health

I remembered wood burning stove you can get rid of your rubbish and keep warm too

Do you mean that stuff that looks similar to coal but is round ill save up for a burner then get some

Im gonna get some if theres no smoke then theres no polution. You get one steve theyre not that expensive about £400 for a really good one so it will pay for itself in the first year and if your dad can get wood !!!!
Cant see the gas ever putting prices down so sod um they can keep the gas and shove it were the sun dont shine
When I first got wed we was proper skint and couldnt aford to put the heating on used to fetch the duvet down well aft to bring it down again at this rate

my mum and dad was really poor, my mum had dispression & my dad was window cleanr making 89p a house and in winter didn't make lot,

this what my mum said, when i was first born they didn't have heating in every room the living/front room was room that had heating, i was born in december so my dad used to sleep in the living with me to keep me warn at night.

I know of loads of families that when its cold they bring the beds down and live in the one room to save money. Its a shame dont know how the old people are going to manage the future is so bleak

i dont know how people who are retired are goign to cope!

Everything except wages ,pensions, benefits just cuts and freezes to them but yet inflation is rocketing something has got to give soon

know were your coming from there steve when i was growing up in the north east it was around the time were everyone got shafted (mines and shipyards)so money was more than tight.
i can see the country going the same way again
