Discharge from vagina?

hiya,
Jemma went to vet last thurs with a rash, which i now believe is hayfever, as she only gets it wen shes outside on the grass.
i also got the vet to check her spay wound, which is fine. we also told him tht she has a lil discharge from her vagina sometimes, which he sed is more thn likely a hormone inbalance and shud clear up on its own.
she still has it tho. im due to take her back to the vets this thurs, but i was jus wundering if any one else has heard of this? shes fine in herself.

Dont quiet no how to put this but is the discharge smelly???

Hopefully is just her hormones settling down, just worry slighly that it could be an infection, but I doubt it. They will check her all over Thursday, so I shouldn't worry Xx

If it's not a smelly discharge (don't go putting your nose too close, people'll think you're odd!) then it's likely just a reaction to the spaying. If it's smelly then you should take her to the vets to be checked.

nah its not smelly, it jus a bit embarrassin wen its hanging when shes walkin lol. normally she licks it off, but not wen shes out.
i have to walk bhind her n try get it off with a tissue lol.

has she been spayed recently?? wht colour is the discharge?

No she's due to be spayed later this month.. The discharge is like clear jelly, maybe a little cloudy it seems to come in small amounts and sticks to her rather then runny

after the vets im happy, she hasnt got pyrometar.
she does however hav an infection from the spay, which is now being treated with antibiotics called noroclav 250mg tablets x2 daily.
she has also got piriton for her hayfever.
hopefully this will be the last time she goes to the vet for a while!!

Poor jemma, she really has gone through it hasn't she. Fingers crossed thats it now and you can settle down and enjoy with out the vets Xx

Noroclav is one of the broad spectrum anti-bs, and is normally very effective against most infections, so I'm sure she'll be back to her normal self very soon!

shes had 4 tablets now, and today the stuff from her lady bits is much more frequent. im guessin its because they are pushing the infection out.
