The wait is............OVER

We spent an hour at the rescue chatting about all manner of things obviously mostly dog related.

then the lady said the words we wanted to hear.... "ok she is ready to go to her new home"
we were so pleased and when she came to us she was extremely excited as were we.

she was fine in the car journey home which was only a short one but we stopped half way incase she wanted a pee.
then it was time to let her meet our goldie (we were abit nervous) but when he saw her he got a little excited and licked her afew times she was abit scared as her tail was between her legs so we seperated them for 15-20 mins then let them meet again, this time was much better both dogs were sniffing and licking (all areas ) and there now both sat on the sofa asleep.

i will get some pics once she has woken up as our goldie is laid on her and we can only see her rear lol, and i just want her to settle in for abit before i start getting her to model for me haha.

any way so far its been alot easier letting them meet than we first thought, no sign of aggression on either side.

one thing that was funny when she came to us at the rescue she was looking up at us and making the most funny noises, 1 sounded like a horse and another like a sheep which the oh found hilarious at first he wasnt sure if we were at the rescue or old mcdonalds farm

Thats fantastic to hear so pleased everything has worked and it sounds like she has taken on a submissive position mainly because she has accepted your goldy laying on her and she is not trying to get on top of him. Thats great because your goldy sounds like a great role model, out going/friendly and laid back and hopefully he will teach her all she needs in the dog world a little less work for you, you just got to keep on top of things from the human perspective letting her know what is acceptable and what is not.
