A couple of tried and true methods. Turn around and ignore her. The breed craves human compainship and hate to be ignored. If that doesn't work try and try and try again. If that doesn't work give the no command and when she stops give her something appropriate to chew on and praise her heavily when she does so. Then go back to the ignore method. She is trying to iniate play and if you give in consistantly she will repeat the behavior for attention.

Also you could try making a yelping sound ( much like what her mother or siblings would do ) to let her know it's not the right thing to do.....along with stopping play for a little while.

The yelping for Jimi made him bite softer but not stop altogether. The ignoring is starting to work now, he hates it. Keep at it, it will all eventually fall into place.

She's only a baby and it's early days yet. Try and find something which you think makes a bit of a difference ( maybe the methods jstaff mentioned....you said they worked a bit ) and be consistent, She will improve, but it all takes time....and patience

if you can't make a yelping sound, you could even try a loud "Bah ! ".. anything to just break the wave length of what your pup is doing..or a loud "No"... Trust me Winston was terrible with nipping .. I have the scars to prove it... but he is getting so much better now.. time and patience.. and be consistent! You will get there...

Nipping is a VERY common problem puppy owners have because its how they play with the rest of the pups n the litter .. with persistance she will get out of it, skye still has her moments of it now at 14wks but a heck of alot less than she did when i had her at 8wks .. i just used to go "AH" stop play and ignore her for 5

No, you're not doing it wrong - not all methods work with all dogs, that's why there are a few ways of doing it. Dempsey didn't take any notice at all of a yelp, in fact he thought it was great fun & it actually made it worse. My two Border Collies would go to pieces if they made a human yelp. The Belgians & the GSDs wandered off and amused themselves if I ignored them so I had to use a sharp "No!" and then give them a command I knew they could do, like sit.

They're just all different.
