I GOT HER HOME TODAY!!

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!
Exciting news lol.
Went to the kennels to pick up Jemma (have changed her name as it was wrking out to be too much of a mouthful) for the day, and they told me i cud take her home as she has had her operation (spayed) and is all ok.
thts it really, so shes now at home with me, woop!!

i put her dinner down but shes not interested in it, hope theres nuffin wrong wiv her, jus gunna put it down to her settling down as shes been sleeping for 2 hours now.

Re: the eating, she's probably gonna need some time to settle in, let's facr it she hasn't had much of a settled routine recently, has she?

Are you feeding her the same as the rescue kennels? I'd keep her on the same food until she's settled, and then change if you're not happy with it. If you are happy, then there won't be a prob!

I know you'll give her loads of love & she'll return it all many times over!

shes on dry food called gusto, which i got from the kennels, but they advised me to give her 3/4 of a cup morning and night, watered down to soften it up.

If she's happy with it, then stay on it till you think she's a bit more settled, then you can gradually change it over to whatever you want to feed.

yea, shes had a few treats today, so im guessin she may jus not b hungry. gunna take her for a walk later if she wakes up, so hopefully she'll b settled for the nite.

Congratulations! She'll take a while to settle in, but the food she's on is a good one. Its made by the people that make the food that the queens corgi's eat according to Bigwazza. Its good quality, and my boy loves it

we have jus got in from a long walk round the lake, shes now out for the count lol, hopefully she will b settled all nite..........

shes got a bed, which is a duvet and cover in the living room. we r not having her upstairs.
shes not moved from her bed since we came in lol.
wen she first came here she wudnt go on her bed as i guess shes used to jus concrete and her hard bed at the kennels.
shes still not eaten her food, but im not worried atm .

YAY.......I'm Sooooooo excited for you to finally have her home with you for good.

Although you have had her home for a few hours at a time during the rehoming process, she will still need time to settle in properly. It all takes time, and she will eat when she is ready.

I Luuuuurrrrv her name ( might have something to do with the fact my eldest daughters name is Jemma ) and she will get used to it in no time.

well, she made it thru her first nite.
we found out tht she actually can bark, she sat at the bottom of the stairs crying and barking, tryin to get thru the stair gate. I went down twice and put her back on her bed, after tht we heard nuffin from her.
she was very excited wen she saw me this mornin tho.
have to go to wrk for 4 hours this morning, but she wont be on her own, fingers crossed she will b ok!!
