Is this a warning sign?

A staff has 11 puppy's and even though they are all absolutely beautiful there is one that has long hair!
Will this be shed as he gets older for a shorter coat ( 6 weeks at the moment) OR can this be a through-back ? "Checks were taken out on the stud before mating"

No, it's unlikely that the coat will become short with maturity.
Years ago a few staffords were slightly longer coated & it was traced back to a couple of stud dogs waaaay back!
Just a genetic throwback, I'm afraid.

Gillybrent - Thanks, that is what I was thinking, I haven't said anything to her as I would have thought she had already have noticed it.
