Duke's first trip to the beach

We took Duke to Milnerton beach earlyish this morning, before too many people got there. Although, since it's getting chilly, it was never going to be packed!

We had practically the whole place to ourselves! Duke was off lead most of the time, except when we met a guy walking his 4 month old retriever. He put her back on lead too as he saw us, and the 2 dogs had a great tail-wagging, sniffing session getting to know each other. Duke was super well-behaved the whole time too, it was as if he had a 15 metre invisible lead attached! Wasn't too keen on the huge expanse of wet stuff, but loved the sand.

Aw wow, looks beautiful. Duke looks like he had fun. I wish there was a beach near me to walk Charlie, I think he'd love it. You're very lucky And yes, I'm jealous!!

Thanks we're about 20 minutes from the center of the city of Cape Town, and this is Milnerton beach, about 10 minutes down the road from us. The water's icy cold, it's the Atlantic, so the only people you find at the moment really, are the surfers. There were a couple heading out by the time we left.
