Poo smell

Hi Everyone,

So, I am currently seething. A few weeks ago we got an anonymous note through our door complaining about the dog poo. Now, yes our dog does poo in our garden and sometimes we leave it until the next day to pick it up but it far off being smelly and poo covered. We took heed however and decided to clean up the garden everyday after work.

Its been about 3 weeks since the note and I just went round to the neighbours house to pick up a parcel. The woman confronted me and accused me of not picking up after Pru despite her note. Now I pick up Pru's poop everyday, so I was a little angered by this. She then insisted that I should be picking up every poo as she does it and once a day is not enough? Me and my partner both work full time, I work from home in our upstairs office from 10am-6pm so I leave the back door open (weather permitting) for Pru and our cat Alf to come and go as they please. We often finish work, have tea and then de-poo the garden.

This woman is saying that all they can smell when they are BBQing is dog poo and that they didn't pay a lot of money for their house for it to be ruined by dog poo smell. She got quite aggressive with me and even said to me "don't you walk her?" Which infuriated me even further. She admitted she had never had a dog and so didn't know how much they poo. I told her Pru poo's around 5 times a day and that cleaning every single one as she does it would be a fulltime job.

I am so angry. I went back into my garden after the row and I can't even see a single poo. I'm not really sure what to do!?

i would feel like telling her to mind her own business but you dont want to fall out with her so i think cleaning up once a day is fine,stupid women   

Would ask her to show you where it is in your garden but its not really there business. Seems to me you are doing fine.

they are talking crap (excuse the pun) unless you have it over flowing there is no way they can smell anything other than the first five mins after the deed being done. its simply not possible for a human to smell a dog turd that has been left sitting for a few hours unless you tread in it.
she just sounds like a bitter old bat with an axe to grind.

I would dig a little garden plot and cover it in manure   

I reckon she is just being nasty. You would be able to smell it yourself if it was pongy. Some people have nothing better to do than moan. Perhaps the next time she has a BBQ complain about the 'horrendous' smell'   

I agree with simi its her BBQ food that must smell of poo! Some people love to find something to complain about.

One of are neighbours was liked that and we had a number of incidents and just kept putting it all down to one of those things. It was only when my daughter chalked on are wall with my nieces that i realized. The mean old thing came out screaming. The worst bit is we are not even joined and my back doors on the side of my house while hers is on the back. I was really annoyed and told her to get lost and she stop with it all then

tell her to get a life! and to stop buying the BBQ food from wherever as its poo food    Gee how on earth can you smell a turt unless its just been done. Stupid bat!
