I often remember this poem when someone loses their dog.

Kipling loved dogs. I have a book he wrote, "Thy Servant, A Dog". It's very twee but amusing in parts, and heartbreaking in parts.

That sounds interesting Lynda. I love Kipling, he was a product of his time and is a great describer of humankind. I love poetry and enjoy reading my favourite poems
