Connect to the wifi in your house so that you don't use the 3g when you're at home and won't use up your mb's Then it'll just be when you're out. Not sure how long it lasts, I usually just phone up and ask how much i've got left a few times a month!

Not long at all. As said use wifi, unless unlimited your data will be used up backing/updating things. On a phone tbh unlimited data is your only way to go but as you have never used the phone for internet stick with not using it unless really needed.

Text the word bundle to 150 and it will tell you how much you have left

becasue i can use the wifi here, i didn't want the net first place it be useful tool while i'm out plus i dont know how long 250mb will last and i'm not wiling to find out!

Maps use a massive amount of data and battery as they are constantly locating you google maps is awesome tho as it goes into street view for accurate destination finding. Switch off location services etc when you don't need them set the phone so you can't automatically roam internationally (if you travel) and make sure you close down apps after use. Scary how many stay open in the background draining battery and constantly using data
