I'm shocked Empty I'm shocked

Just saw on the news that copenhagen have euthanised a Girrafe,as by the sounds it was surplus to requirements and to avoid inbreeding. This despite offers from English and Netherland zoos to take him.These offers were declined he was the bolt gunned,disected and fed to Lions

Theres the link if anyone wants a read I'm just shocked at the whole thing, I have no idea what to say to that. Or am I being to sensitive it just seems like wanten destruction no matter how they try and dress it up. I'm sure there would of been a much better alternative if they didn't want him breeding
